Dr. Curtis uses modern dental technology to place partials, full dentures, and implant-supported dentures. Advances in dental materials have made dentures more comfortable and natural-looking than ever.
So what’s the difference between full and partial dentures? Partial dentures, commonly called partials, are great for patients who still have some healthy teeth. The prosthetic consists of several teeth on a gum-colored base. The partial fits with existing dentition like a puzzle piece. Hidden clasps secure a partial and can be removed for cleaning.
Full dentures replace all teeth on an upper or lower arch. Dr. Curtis is skilled at designing dentures to fit comfortably on the natural gum ridges with minimal slippage. For optimal comfort, we recommend implant-supported dentures. (more…)
