Nitrous Oxide
A relaxing gas that patients inhale through a mask. Nitrous (or laughing gas) is a widely-used, mild sedative with a long track record of safety. Within 15-20 minutes after a procedure, you’ll be fully recovered and able to drive home from your appointment.
Oral Sedation
This sedation method involves a safe prescription medication that patients take before arriving for their visit. By the time we’re ready to begin treatment, you will be completely relaxed but still responsive to Dr. Curtis’s questions. We can also combine oral sedation and nitrous oxide to provide maximum anxiety-relief. Patients who choose oral sedation will need a friend to accompany them to and from our office.
